Longer answer: Giving machines are vending machines that are all about the experience of giving instead of buying something to satisfy your own immediate need. You can buy chickens or goats to help families around the world or meals at a local food bank. Items start at $5 and go up to $250, so everyone can have the experience of giving on any budget. After inserting a credit or debit card or tapping digital payment (no cash), a card with a picture of your item drops into a collection bin and you walk away with a digital receipt and a smile for days.
-
One hundred percent of your donation will be used for the purchased item, similar items, or services of greater need as determined by the applicable charitable organization. To ensure this, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints generously covers all credit card transaction fees.

When you’re looking for the just-right gift for someone who has everything, why not consider buying something for someone who needs everything?
Show your electronic receipt to a volunteer at the Giving Machines to get a Light the World card so you can notify your recipient of the gift you purchased in his/her name.
You can also print out this “On behalf of” form once you have made a donation.
-
Donations are eligible for tax deductions. Electronic receipts will be available by text or email.
